Silicon Valley Canon Reading Club Munich

Silicon Valley - and the associated global tech scene more generally - has an outsized impact on shaping our world. The culture around it has a certain zeitgeist - a set of commonly discussed ideas, ranging from entrepreneurship and technology to broader questions of economics, politics and philosophy. These are captured in a vague 'Silicon Valley canon' of books that are widely read in tech circles, see e.g. this visualization or these (1, 2) lists.

We are a student club at Technical University Munich (TUM) forming a reading circle of curious people interested in books broadly belonging to this canon. We meet on a regular schedule and reflect on a book we decided to read previously. We aim to discuss the contents critically, consider how to make insights actionable and shape the conversation to be as interesting as possible.

We are always open for new members - non-TUM students are explicitly welcome as well.
